The HYDEA project, led by Centro Tecnológico EnergyLab and supported by Interreg Atlantic Area, has launched a second call to support the development and testing of pre-commercial, innovative technologies. The selected applicants will have access to the experimental facilities and expertise of the HYDEA project partners.

The selection criteria will include scientific merit, technological feasibility, and market potential, with priority given to solutions that can be integrated into port environments.

Researchers, startups, and innovators in advancing new concepts will have access to the following experimental facilities:

Spain: Centro Tecnológico EnergyLab (ELAB);Sevilla and Vigo Port
Portugal: Universidade do Porto (UPorto); Administração dos Portos do Douro, Leixões e Viana do Castelo (APDL)
France: France Energies Marines (FEM); Évolution Synergetique Automotive (EVO), Brest Port
Ireland: University of Galway, Hive Hydrogen

About the project
HYDEA has been designed to conduct pilot tests for the application of hydrogen and methanol as alternative energy sources in port fleets and vehicles. The project supports the transition to clean energy in Atlantic Area ports by integrating marine technologies and renewable energy into the maritime sector.
