Turismo de Portugal, I.P., in partnership with the Agency for Development and Cohesion, the Portuguese National Authority for the Interreg Atlantic Area, is promoting a dedicated webinar on the Interreg Atlantic Area and Interreg Euro-MED programmes, specifically tailored to the Portuguese tourism sector and the potential to participate in European cooperation projects.
This online session aims to bring together regional tourism entities, local and municipal authorities, regional tourism promotion agencies, small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), associations, universities, and other key stakeholders interested in European cooperation opportunities for tourism development.
Sharing cooperation projects that inspire
The webinar will present ongoing cooperation projects funded under Interreg that can serve as transferable models for other European regions and beyond. Participants will gain insights into practical solutions, innovative governance approaches, and collaborative tools that strengthen sustainable tourism across territories.
A special highlight of the session will be the SeaLabHaus project, funded by the Interreg Atlantic Area Programme. The project will be showcased as a concrete example of how transnational cooperation supports more sustainable and resilient tourism models in Atlantic regions. Aligned with the principles of the New European Bauhaus, SeaLabHaus promotes sustainability, aesthetics, and inclusion by delivering advanced structures, tools, and services that contribute to a greener and more innovative tourism ecosystem.
The project is led by the University of A Coruña, with Portuguese partners including the Faculty of Architecture of the University of Porto and the Local Development Association of Bairrada and Mondego. Together, they are developing solutions that reinforce cooperation, knowledge transfer, and sustainable growth across Atlantic territories.
