Today, the members of the Monitoring Committee met online to review the implementation of the Interreg Atlantic Area Programme in 2025. The meeting was chaired by the Irish Presidency, represented by the Northern and Western Assembly.

The Programme is progressing as planned. To date, financial support has been approved for 52 projects, representing an investment of approximately €128 million, implemented by partnerships bringing together more than 550 partners and associated partners from the four Member States: France, Ireland, Portugal and Spain.

Over the coming months, the focus will be on working closely with these partnerships to accelerate the financial execution of projects.

The meeting also provided an opportunity to define the next steps towards launching a new — and final — call for proposals in 2026.
