Interreg Atlantic Area projects are invited to apply for the 2026 edition of the #EuropaSeSiente Awards, organised by the Spanish General Secretariat for European Funds (SGFE) of the Ministry of Finance. The initiative aims to raise awareness of the impact of EU funding by recognising outstanding projects across Spain.

Projects co-financed under the Interreg Atlantic Area Programme are eligible to participate and may apply under the category that best reflects their objectives, achievements and impact.

Award categories
• #EuropaSeSiente Competitive – industrial transformation, SME support, research and digitalisation;

• #EuropaSeSiente Green – energy transition, climate action, biodiversity, circular economy and environmental sustainability;

• #EuropaSeSiente Connected – sustainable mobility, transport and connectivity;

• #EuropaSeSiente Social – employment, education, social inclusion, culture, tourism and equality;

• #EuropaSeSiente Close – local development, rural revitalisation and citizen-oriented initiatives;

• #EuropaTeMueve: Strategic Autonomy – large-scale strategic projects contributing to Europe’s resilience, competitiveness and technological sovereignty.

Timeline and process
The application deadline is 12 June 2026, with submissions made via the official SGFE online form.

The competition will include three stages: technical selection of semifinalists, online public voting, and a final awards ceremony during the 2026 European Funds Annual Event (expected in November 2026).
Awards

Winning projects in each category will receive a commemorative award. In addition, two “Gold Star” prizes will be awarded by the jury and the public vote.
