The European Commission has launched a call for evidence to support the preparation of the 10th Cohesion Report, inviting citizens, stakeholders and regional authorities to share their views on the future of cohesion policy.
The report will assess progress towards economic, social and territorial cohesion across the European Union. It will also include the mid-term review of the 2021–2027 Cohesion Policy, which resulted in Member States reallocating €34.6 billion in cohesion funding to address strategic EU priorities, including competitiveness, affordable and sustainable housing, defence, security and civil preparedness, water resilience, and the energy transition.
This consultation offers an opportunity for Interreg beneficiaries and stakeholders to contribute their experience and highlight the value of European Territorial Cooperation. Feedback may address topics such as the future of the post-2027 cohesion policy, reducing the administrative burden for beneficiaries, strengthening the role of Interreg and European Territorial Cooperation, and showcasing the long-term impact of completed projects.
