The ENEPORTS project, supported by the Interreg Atlantic Area, has been selected to participate in a photo exhibition at the Macro-regional & Sea Basin Strategies Days 2025. This exhibition aims to showcase impactful projects and initiatives that receive support from European funds.
Promoted by the European Commission, through DG Regio and DG Mare, the event aims to facilitate discussions about existing and new synergies while considering the priorities of the eight strategy presidencies. The agenda for the Macro-regional & Sea Basin Strategies Days 2025 includes thematic discussions through workshops and panel sessions. These will address common challenges and create opportunities for further cooperation.
One of the key challenges faced by the ENEPORTS partnership is providing clean electricity to ships and the companies operating in Atlantic ports. This ongoing project is led by the Fundación Instituto Tecnológico de Galicia, with the goal of proposing sustainable solutions and tools using hydrogen to enhance the sustainability of ports. The project includes three pilot sites: Ferrol (Galicia, Spain), Granadilla (Canarias, Spain), and Leixões (Norte, Portugal).
