AoffTech's transnational challenge is to contribute to decarbonisation, mitigate climate change and the EU's energy independence through floating offshore wind energy, a strategic technology for the Atlantic Area. The overall objective is to boost the industry's value chain and accelerate the deployment of floating offshore wind through public-private collaboration.

The main results include connecting and disseminating the technological developments of the offshore experimental platforms, a cross-border Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) approach to deployment, the development of a shared strategy for the Atlantic Area on floating offshore wind and facilitating contact with the network of blue academies. The project adopts a balanced approach that harmonises the advancement of technocentric, ecocentric and anthropocentric perspectives, for which transnational cooperation is required.
