The Blue Shuttle project is on a mission to identify key digital and technological challenges within the Marine Living Resources and/or Blue Biotechnology sectors. The partnership launched an open call to find out the greatest challenges that fall into the scope of (1) Harvesting, Biomass Production & Bioprospecting; (2) Innovation Development & Product Differentiation (e.g., transformation technologies); (3) Twin transition: Green or Digital; (4) Other.
Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), startups, corporates, innovation centres, academic institutions, collabs or any organization operating in the Blue Economy sectors can apply to the open call until the 15th November 2024.
The main purpose is to select four pilot projects, one in each of the following countries: Ireland, France, Spain and Portugal. Once the projects are defined, the Blue Shuttle project will launch in the first trimester of 2025 other open call for solutions, where solution providers will address the digital and technological requirements of these challenges for the development of an innovative proof of concept, fostering competitiveness and resilience of the Blue Bioeconomy sectors.
