The Spanish Ministry of Finance’s General Secretariat for European Funds has launched the 2025 edition of the #EuropaSeSiente Project Awards, within the Annual European Funds Event framework. This national competition aims to raise awareness of the impact and added value of European funding in Spain.
Who can participate?
This annual competition recognises projects supported by European programmes – such as the European Regional Development Fund (including Interreg and European Territorial Cooperation), the European Social Fund Plus, or the Asylum, Migration and Integration Fund. Projects from the Interreg Atlantic Area Programme are strongly encouraged to apply.
Competition Categories
Projects must be submitted in one of the six thematic categories, each reflecting a key priority of EU action:
- #EuropaSeSiente Competitiva
Industry transformation, SME support, research and digitalisation - #EuropaSeSiente Verde
Energy transition, climate change mitigation, sustainable agriculture, environmental protection, biodiversity, circular economy - #EuropaSeSiente Conectada
Sustainable transport, mobility, border management, intermodality, and secure movement of people and goods. - #EuropaSeSiente Social
Education, Employment, Social inclusion, healthcare, gender equality, cultural and sustainable tourism
- #EuropaSeSiente Cercana
Urban and rural development or local/regional strategies addressing specific development challenges.
- #EuropaTeMueve (Special Topic: Resilience)
Projects that promote resilience—i.e., the capacity of organisations or systems to adapt positively to adversity.
How to apply
Applications must be submitted via the official online form by 6 June 2025. The contest includes three stages (preselection, online presentations, and a final public event in October 2025 in Santa Coloma de Gramenet), with winners announced during the Annual European Funds Event.
