The Sea Tech Week® 2026 will take place from 6- 8 October 2026 in Brest, France. Gathering over 1,000 international maritime experts, across three days. This year, Portugal is the guest country of honour, represented by Fórum Oceano.

Several Interreg Atlantic Area projects will showcase innovative solutions for ocean sustainability, shipping safety, and decarbonisation through a series of dedicated workshops and demonstrations.

• • Led by: SaferSEA (partner CEDRE) o connect scientists and regulatory authorities to address safety, environmental, and regulatory challenges surrounding ammonia as an alternative fuel.

7 October (09:30 – 12:00) | SaferSEA Maritime Event: Solutions for a safer & smarter shipping industry

• • Led by: SaferSEA featuring pitches and a roundtable with stakeholders from France, Ireland, Portugal, and Spain discussing decarbonisation and smart shipping technologies.

7 October (09:30 – 12:00) | Marine Pollution in the Atlantic: Cooperative Solutions for Urgent Action

• • Led by: GRAAL bringing together science, policy, and industry leaders to co-develop actionable recommendations on plastic and chemical pollution for European policymakers in line with the EU Green Deal.

8 October (11:00 – 12:00) | Sustainable Maritime Transport: Rolling Out Actions (Room 5)

• • Led by: SMARTDEC focusing on concrete actions to accelerate the decarbonisation of ports and shipping across the Atlantic region.

Live demonstration

As part of the SaferSEA initiative, partner Cedre will also host a live demonstration of maritime drones and autonomous vehicles at their outdoor facilities, followed by a showroom tour.
