As the first investment project of the Interreg Atlantic Area 2021–2027 Programme to complete its implementation, DIBEST marks an important milestone in supporting digital transformation across the Atlantic Area. Over the past three years, the project has worked closely with dozens of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) operating in the Blue Economy and Social Tourism sectors, helping them strengthen their digital capabilities and improve their competitiveness.
Throughout its implementation, DIBEST delivered a comprehensive programme of capacity-building activities, equipping businesses with the knowledge and skills needed to embrace digital innovation. The project's final achievement is the launch of the DIBEST Digital Toolkit, a free, open-access online resource designed to support SMEs on their digital transformation journey long after the project's completion.
The toolkit brings together four online training courses covering essential digital skills, emerging technologies, and current market trends. In addition, it provides a curated collection of practical digital tools and services that businesses can immediately apply to improve their operations and customer engagement.
Resources are organised into key areas of digital innovation, including Artificial Intelligence and Automation, Booking and Payment Systems, Data Analytics, Digital Marketing, and Immersive Technologies, such as Virtual Reality (VR) and Extended Reality (XR). By combining training with practical solutions, the DIBEST Digital Toolkit offers businesses a one-stop resource to accelerate their digital transition and foster innovation.
As DIBEST comes to a close, its legacy will continue through these freely accessible resources, ensuring that SMEs across the Atlantic Area can benefit from the project's expertise and continue building more resilient, innovative, and competitive businesses.
