The Interreg Atlantic Area Programme is proud to announce that the AYCH - Atlantic Youth Creative Hubs project was awarded the #EuropaXunta 2026 prize in the Education, Employment, and Social Inclusion category, during an official ceremony held at the Galician Centre for Contemporary Art (CGAC) in Santiago de Compostela.

The award was accepted on behalf of the entire project partnership by the Secretary General of the Santiago Chamber of Commerce and the General Coordinator of Vida Láctea.

This recognition highlights the impactful journey of AYCH across four countries within our Atlantic Area territory. Supported by Interreg Atlantic Area funding, AYCH established a dynamic network of creative hubs where young people aged 16 to 30 experimented with new technologies, tested their ideas, and took their first steps into the cultural and creative industries.

Key Achievements of the AYCH Project (2017-2023):

  • 3,626 young people actively participated across Atlantic territories.
  • 377 innovative ideas were developed.
  • 102 projects underwent intensive incubation.
  • 150 jobs were directly created.

As a programme dedicated to boosting regional development and empowering communities, Interreg Atlantic Area extends its warmest congratulations to all the young participants who brought AYCH to life and to every partner organization that made this success possible.
