On 24 November, the HiPoTeSis partners met online in a first kick-off meeting to introduce the project key figures and plan the first steps according to the work plan.
Led by the French institution Fondation OPEN-C, the project brings together institutions from Portugal, Spain, France and Ireland to accelerate the industrialisation of floating offshore wind by enhancing cooperation between European test sites.
HiPoTeSis proposes a consolidated and transnational approach for the development of test sites capable of hosting next-generation floating wind turbines (>10 MW), going beyond national initiatives focused on lower-power prototypes. The project aims to establish a sustainable partnership in terms of strategic vision, governance, and development resources.
