The 3rd Atlantic Stakeholder Platform Conference was an opportunity to learn more about cooperation and funding opportunities in the Atlantic Area, as well as the central hub for stakeholders of the Atlantic Strategy to make valuable contacts and explore areas for cooperation, share information and good practices, promote and identify interesting project ideas as well as funding opportunities and partnerships for their projects.

During this event it was organised the 1st edition of the Atlantic Project Awards 2016, designed to honour outstanding success stories achieved by projects in the Atlantic Area.

Four projects co-financed by the Interreg Atlantic Area were awarded - we congratulate projects AtlanticBlueTech (coordinated by Technopôle Brest Iroise),  on category Entrepreneurship & Innovation, ArcopolPtatform (coordinated by Centro tecnológico del Mar - CETMAR) on category Atlantic Marine and Coastal Environment, Batterie (coordinated by Action Renewables) on Accessibility and Connectivity and AtlanticPowerCluster (coordinated by SODERCAN-Sociedad para el Desarrollo de Cantabria) on category Sustainability, for the excellent and innovative work developed by these partnerships.

This ceremony was presented by the Commissioner for Environment, Maritime Affairs and Fisheries Mr. Karmenu Vella. The jury included EC representatives, Atlantic Strategy Group representatives, academics, and representatives from business/industry.
