08 November 2017, Glasgow (United Kingdom)

The 4th Atlantic Stakeholder Platform Conference on the topic "Regeneration under generations socially inclusive sustainable development of the European Atlantic Seaboard", hosted this year 8 parallel workshops and around 40 project stands, offering a great opportunity for Atlantic stakeholders to meet, seek ways of cooperation and identify funding opportunities and partnerships for their projects.

Five of the Interreg programmes from transnational and cross-border areas (Atlantic Area, North-West Europe, France (Channel) England, 2 Seas and Ireland-Wales) were represented at a joint exhibition stand to promote the investments made by these programmes in the several maritime strands, as well as provide participants with information on the existing financing opportunities in these areas.

The Interreg Atlantic Area organised a workshop entitled "Setting a bridge between history and modernity of the cultural heritage of the Atlantic Area: from the cities’ maritime military and industrial heritage valorisation to the development of the new nautical tourism activities, products and innovation", moderated by the Joint Secretariat, with the participation of representatives from 2 projects MMIAH and CAPITEN.

The Atlantic Area project ATLANTIC SOCIAL LAB organised a workshop on the theme of “social innovation as a strategy for Atlantic Area sustainable and inclusive development”, organized by the Centre for Social Studies of University of Coimbra.
