Interreg Atlantic Area participated on the 8th edition of the Business2Sea/ Forum do Mar'18 this year under the topic "Sea Challenges 2030".

The Joint Secretariat participated on Workshop Tema 1 "Cooperação Luso-Galaica e no Espaço Atlântico" to debate the importance of Interreg and cooperation in the maritime related activities and their impact on the territory. The programme was also present on the exhibition to promote its activities and funded projects.

Several Atlantic Area projects also participated on the following workshops:

»» Consortex and IN4.0 - workshop "Shipbuilding and Marine Renewable Energies"

»» CleanAtlantic and Oceanwise - workshop "Sustainable marine ecosystems and the circular economy in the Blue Growth", session 2 "Marine litter and circular economy in the marine industry", organised by CETMAR

This 3-day event, organised by Forum do Oceano with the collaboration of CETMAR, aimed to promote the dissemination of projects, studies and knowledge on the themes related to the Sea by holding several thematic conferences and promoting business meetings between representatives of Portuguese entities and foreign entities. It was also an opportunity to showcase Portuguese technologies, services and products related with the Sea.

This event was addressed to public authorities, companies, universities and R&D centres and associations, both national and foreign, active in different fields of the economy of the Sea.
