How does Interreg Atlantic Area contributes to mitigate the effects of climate change?

In this article we address innovative strategies from two cooperation projects to fight floods across borders

Natural phenomena that occur due to climate change are causing major coastal flood in several urban and rural areas with extremely violent effects in all countries of the European region.
And floods know no borders, that's why so cooperation is crucial. So, how do Interreg projects contribute to flood risk management?
In the latest article written by Interreg Atlantic Area and Danube Transnational Programme, we address projects AAFLOODS and DRIDANUBE to present their innovative approaches to deal with major flood events in our regions.

Read here the article "Cross border cooperation: when floods cross borders", the result of another initiative of Interreg programmes, coordinated by Interact.

This initiative consists of the launch of a series of articles to show the active role of Interreg programmes and projects in realising the current European agenda and demonstrate how Interreg helps to implement the European Green Deal policies while building back sustainable economies post-covid19.
