SAFER project awarded in the Atlantic Project Awards 2020
This ceremony took place during the 7th Atlantic Stakeholder Platform Conference
SAFER project (Smart Atlantic Seafood Clusters), a project co-financed by Interreg Atlantic Area, is the winner under the "Atlantic Ports and Blue Economy " category at the 4th edition of the Atlantic Project Awards 2020.
This online ceremony took place during the 7th Atlantic Stakeholder Platform Conference held on the 18 November 2020 and is designed to honour outstanding success stories achieved by projects in the geographical area covered by the Atlantic Strategy and that are related to the implementation of the Atlantic Action Plan.
After the Atlantic Awards ceremony, SAFER project partner Conference of Peripheral Maritime Regions of Europe – CPMR organized 'A SAFER approach to innovation in aquaculture: How cooperation can support ports to become hubs of the blue economy' workshop.
SAFER project is coordinated by ERNACT and aims to improve the innovation performance of the seafood sector by increasing technology adoption and transnational cooperation giving response to the challenges of a sector identified as high potential for the smart growth of the participant regions.
SAFER has a consortium of 9 partners of the 5 Member States and a total budget of 1.8 million euros until March 2021.
