INTERREG ATLANTIC AREA ANNUAL EVENT
Building a sustainable and cohesive Atlantic: why do Interreg Atlantic projects matter?
The Interreg Atlantic Area Managing Authority and the Ministerio de Hacienda y Función Pública of Spain, holding the Presidency of the Programme for 2019, have the pleasure to invite you to the Interreg Atlantic Area Programme annual event, due to take place on the next 13 November 2019 at Centro de Congressos da Alfândega do Porto, in Porto, Portugal.
The Interreg Atlantic Area has been a driver of European territorial cooperation for almost 30 years, having a real impact on the skills enhancement and capacity building of the regions involved. The annual event is the moment to highlight the added value of transnational cooperation and its contribution to the sustainable growth and cohesion in the Atlantic region.
The success of our programme is a reflection of the results of the projects we support. We highlight 4 thematic fields that are a priority for the Atlantic - Marine sector innovation | Energy transition | Greener Atlantic | Cultural identity - to learn how some key projects have been tackling these specific thematic challenges, how their results are contributing to improve partners skills, identifying opportunities, contributing to the public policies, bringing benefits to citizens and business across regions.
During this event you will also have the chance to meet the relevant actors in these fields and visit the exhibition area to learn more about our projects. To close this annual gathering, the evening ends with a cocktail in the magnificent Palácio da Bolsa.
BUSINESS2SEA
During the 11-13 November 2019 it will take place at the same venue - Centro de Congressos da Alfândega do Porto - the BUSINESS2SEA initiative, an annual event adressed to maritime stakeholders. This year the focus will be the oceans’ health and the sustainable use of marine resources.
This 3-days event includes conferences, workshops, business-to-business meetings, an exhibition, project pitches, seafood tasting and a cocktail dinatoire.
Have a look at their agenda and register on their website if you're interested to attend.
The Interreg Atlantic Area annual event is hosted by the Business2 Sea initiative.
