GASHEAT intends to join research centres, universities, experts in gastronomy, companies, tourist operators and heritage managers to think on heritage management challenges linking it with the gastronomy with an international and interdisciplinary approach.
The project aims to create workgroups to analyse how gastronomy can help to attract new audiences, preserve and manage cultural heritage, to support heritage stakeholders (managers of companies or public or private bodies on the heritage sector) improving their market prospects, to identify best practices on local development through heritage enhancement or best cases or synergies with other sector (gastronomy) or those innovative approaches considered as good examples of new business models on heritage management using the gastronomy to gain new audiences.
To make this possible the GASHEAT outcomes are: Research about the traditional cuisine in each country and its vinculation with the heritage, Online repositories of recipes and their history, reports and studies, training activities as Massive open online courses, workshops, fairs and seminars to disseminate the information and experiences exchange, instagram and facebook competitions to show each tradition and involve the public and virtual spaces to share information and promote new cross-disciplinary and international projects.
