Summary

AtlanticNetSky aims at developing and consolidating a network of natural Atlantic areas linked to the Astrotourism, a tourism product - astro - using the night sky as its main attraction.
This project objectives are, among others i) valuing the natural heritage in the territories of the Atlantic Area, which meet the natural and environmental conditions, allowing them to become part of the astrotourism marketing campaign for the Atlantic Area and ii) improve the effectiveness of marketing strategies and actions of the organizations involved regarding astrotourism. AtlanticNetSky also seeks to improve the training of the actors involved, to attract new visitors diversifying the tourism offer, to promote sustainable tourism and to consolidate the initiatives thanks to an innovative communication strategy.
The project will create a distinctive image (brand) that will attract a more diverse range of new visitors and, at the same time, will enhance the economic, social and environmental sustainability, tough improving the quality and competitiveness of current and future astro-tourism sector in the Atlantic Area.
